For this shoot Osei-Duro collaborated with super creative directors Super Bonjour.
STATEMENT
This series is a celebration of Osei-Duro's innovative batik fabrics and beautiful and wildly expressive prints. The clothing have been re-worked and reinvented to build sculptural pieces for the body. By pushing the boundaries of traditional fashion imagery we explore some of Osei-Duro’s central values — like being critically engaged, thought-provoking, experimental and even weird.
There's been a cultural shift in how we view aging and we think age is the new frontier in diversity. Since just about everyone seen in fashion shoots is young, we are working to make people stop and pay attention because personal style and fearlessness is attractive regardless of age. This also opens up experimentation, breaking from beauty norms and moving towards a subversive forefront.
